Size of Baby: Jicama
Total Weight Gain: 28 pounds (thanks, Disney World! Maintaining on the last two weeks’ weight gain)
Maternity Clothes?: Yes — which mostly consists of black, gray and navy now that the weather is turning colder.
Stretch Marks? Still none.
Sleep: I think I’m still recuperating from Disney so I’ve been falling asleep pretty quickly at night and sometimes not waking up at all. I’ve also taken my fair share of 30- or 45-minute cat naps this week. I figure I’m in the home stretch, and life is about to get crazy/restless — so I’m letting myself indulge guilt-free.
Best Moment of the Last Two Weeks: I’m sure you can guess that it was the familymoon to Disney World. Charlotte and I also had a sweet moment tonight. She was laying on my stomach after a bad fall outside, and Milly Rose was moving and kicking like crazy, which led to lots of giggles and incredulous looks from Charlotte. Amelia’s not even here yet, and they’re already goofing around.
Miss Anything?: What it feels like to not be pregnant.
Movement: The movement is getting bigger and bigger every day. She’s also officially made her way into my ribs, so the movements at this point can be pretty uncomfortable.
Food Cravings: Blood orange soda and popcorn.
Any Food Aversions: Food in general. I’ve definitely seen a loss in appetite the past few days. Don’t worry, Milly girl is getting her food — just not as much as in previous weeks when I was eating everything in sight.
Labor Signs: Again, occasional Braxton Hicks.
Symptoms: Mid-back pain — boy, have I been paying for a week off from the chiropractor and days walking around Disney. It has been pretty awful, but I hope to get back on track with weekly visits. Also, loss of appetite, lower back pain on occasion, intense heartburn and burning, sore abdomen. Basically, I’m getting into that really magical part of pregnancy.
Belly Button? Still in.
Wedding Rings? All rings are off.
Happy or Moody? I’ll admit, I’ve been pretty negative since our return from Disney. I’m over the aches and pains of pregnancy, but obviously, it would be way worse if Amelia came now versus staying pregnant. Over the past few days, I’ve really been trying to reflect on how much I wanted and waited for this pregnancy in order to get myself mentally right. So say prayers for me to stay positive in these last few weeks.
Looking Forward To: Being at home more this month and checking items off of our very long pre-winter, pre-baby to-do list.
And now it’s time for the Charlotte show that ensued today…
As Amelia grows day-by-day, so does this girl’s personality!
