Mother’s Day & Charlotte’s Dedication at Park

Our first Mother’s Day was so, so special. We had the opportunity to dedicate Charlotte at our church here in Chicago, and with that, both of our families came up to celebrate Baby Charlotte and all of the mothers in our lives. We ate a lot of good food and gave our undivided attention to the babies — the perfect recipe for a happy weekend.

We dedicated Charlotte at Park Community Church, our church here in Chicago. Again, we were charged to lead Charlotte in a life that is dedicated to the Lord. With this dedication, we had to choose a life verse for Charlotte, and Ryan and I chose Philippians 4:4-7.

We also had to state why we chose this verse for Charlotte:

We chose this verse for Charlotte firstly because this is a verse that we have meditated and relied on as a couple. Secondly, it is our fervent prayer that Charlotte comes to know Jesus Christ as her personal Savior, to live in the joy of her Redeemer both inwardly and outwardly. With Christ as her bedrock, we hope that Charlotte lives to share her prayers and praise with her Lord, listen to His instruction, rest in the peace that only He can provide and be guided by His will for His glory all of her life.
