Unfortunately, my weekly exam does not fall at the beginning of the week as it typically does so we have to wait until Thursday to find out whether any progress has been made.
But for now, this is what’s going down for us…
Size of Baby: Pumpkin — how timely. And I hope she isn’t as big as any of the pumpkins we have sitting around our apartment right now! That’s terrifying…
Total Weight Gain: TBD — but I don’t think I’ve gained any weight in the past week.
Maternity Clothes? Same as last week.
Stretch Marks? No new stretch marks.
Sleep: I’m finding it increasingly difficult to fall asleep these days. At this point, I’m used to being uncomfortable. It’s the racing thoughts that keep me awake, like, “Is my water going to break tonight?” “She feels like she’s trying to push her way out.” “I still need to hang some photos and finish that embroidery project before she gets here.” Oh my…
Best Moment of the Last Week: Getting the glider for the nursery, putting the sheets on her crib and finishing her mobile. I plan on taking nursery photos this weekend and posting!
Miss Anything? Cute clothes. I just want skinny jeans in every color possible right now.
Movement: Like I stated earlier, it feels like she is trying to push her way out every evening, which is at times uncomfortable. But I keep telling her to try harder!
Food Cravings: No real cravings.
Any Food Aversions: In fact, food in general is an aversion at this point. I definitely don’t have my usual appetite and am just eating to get nutrients in my body. Is this unusual at this stage?
Labor Signs: I’ll post an update after our appointment on Thursday, but I’ve been feeling a lot more pelvic pressure and an occasional contraction.
Symptoms: Mid-back pain and sometimes lower back pain now. EXTREME fatigue. Itchy, burning belly and reflux.
Belly Button? Still in!
Wedding Rings? Off. But I’m going to wear them for our anniversary — hopefully that’s not the day that my hands decide to swell to epic proportions.
Happy or Moody? Apathetic, impatient and frustrated.
Looking Forward To: Baby girl being here — sooner rather than later!
