The last update was a bit whiny, but I’m feeling a lot more positive now. She is almost here, I am almost not pregnant AND it’s almost Thanksgiving/Christmas! Essentially, there is a lot to look forward to right now, and it doesn’t feel so far away anymore!
Size of Baby: Honeydew
Total Weight Gain: 29 pounds — steadying out now!
Maternity Clothes? Still managing to squeeze into one non-maternity top and my yoga pants during workouts. Otherwise, it’s maternity, maternity, maternity.
Stretch Marks? No new stretch marks.
Sleep: Still sleeping well once I finally get to sleep.
Best Moment of the Last Two Weeks: Celebrating Ryan’s 29th birthday! Ryan’s parents came up for the weekend, and we walked around Andersonville as well as indulged in a steak dinner. Yes, it was a low-key birthday, but that’s what happens when you’re an old man.
Miss Anything? This rainy, fall weekend would have been even better if I could have had a Guinness.
Movement: Baby girl is all up in my rib cage at this point. She’s still squirming around in there, and I’ll occasionally feel a leg or arm wrapped almost all the way around to my back.
Food Cravings: A week ago was Starch Monday, a monumental day in our household, during which I consumed potato chips, french fries and loaded baked potato soup for dinner.
Any Food Aversions: Chinese food.
Labor Signs: This week, we started our weekly visits to the doctor and discovered that I’m 1 cm dilated! I know that’s not a lot, but it was encouraging to know that we are progressing toward Little Bit’s arrival! Also, she’s head down, and I really think she’s going to stay that way. She’s been head down since 30 weeks so maybe she’s just as excited to get out of the womb as we are to see her.
Symptoms: Mid-back pain, burning sensation on my abdomen from all the skin stretching, extreme fatigue, forgetfulness and reflux.
Belly Button? Amazingly, it’s still in! I think it’s going to pop out at some point, but Ryan is pretty confident that it’s staying in. We’re taking bets — what’s your guess?!
Wedding Rings? Off.
Happy or Moody? Let’s just sum up my emotions with “lethargic.” I could care less about nearly everything right now and am happiest on the couch and in the bathtub.
Looking Forward To: Charlotte being here and work being over!
